About us
Calvary Light has a rich history dating back to 2002, when Pastor Bridget, our Senior Pastor, had a vision to create a place of worship and community for passionate Christians. What started as a small group dedicated to prayer, Bible study, and worship soon grew into a vibrant church community that had a significant impact on the lives of people in the South of Boston and surrounding areas. Through evangelism and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the church continued to expand and is now firmly established in the region.

Our Beliefs
1. God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are of one substance and equal in power and glory.
2. Jesus Christ is the Son of God who is fully God and fully Man. He died on the cross for the remission of the sins of humankind. He rose from the grave and He is seated at the right hand of
God in heaven.
Our Faith
1. The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Triune God. The Holy Spirit helps in the justification, adoption, regeneration, sanctification, glorification, and empowerment of believers in Christ Jesus.
2. The Bible is the inspired Word of God written by a human through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is infallible in nature and “useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness”
Our Confidence
1. Humanity is created in the image and likeness of God but sin has separated us from God. God in his infinite mercy has brought us closer to Himself through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for the remission of our sins.
2. The Church is the body of Christ and we are called to display the Glory of God who has called us out of darkness into His Marvelous Light. Our responsibility is to reach out to our communities with the Light of the Gospel message.
3. Eternity is the final destination for all humanity. For those who believe Jesus Christ will spend eternity with God in Heaven and those who do not believe in Jesus Christ will end up in eternal punishment in Hell.
